LG B Mobile Phone: Display Tops iPhone & Galaxy S

Just the other day we reported on LG’s latest creation the Optimus 2X. Now while the renamed “Star” device caught our attention in a big way, LG has decided to throw another log onto the fire.

Alan at PR News reported on images sourced exclusively by Phandroid showing a yet to be announced flagship device. Displayed under its codename LG ’B’ the handset could be unveiled next year.

From the pictures, it is shown alongside the two biggest hitters in the smartphone market, Apple’s iPhone 4 and Samsung’s Galaxy S. These could be worrying times for the class leaders as the images clearly show that the ‘B’ not only packs a bigger brighter display, it is visually thinner and better looking.

While the iPhone 4’s Retina display is along way off poor, the LG’s display manages 200 more brightness nit, this equates to 400 more nit than it’s other rival the Galaxy S.

As we wait in anticipation for Apple’s iPhone 5, could we see another device taking to the podium? Whichever way you look at it, with manufacturers locked in battle for top honors the real winners will be us as the consumers. I think you will agree, we are in for an exciting year come 2011, give us your thoughts on LG’s step up in the smartphone market.
