Samsung Galaxy Tab Discounted Price At HMV

Last week we reported on Samsung’s free give-away of it’s entertainment bundle worth £200. On the run up to Christmas these offers make products even more appealing to those trying to find the perfect gift at the perfect price.

Well it’s not just the manufacturers that are offering the bargains, according to Mobilenews, HMV has cut it’s prices for Samsung’s Galaxy Tab down to £420 inc P&P. This undercuts Amazon £449, a price which they have already altered to bring it into contention.

As the Galaxy Tab’s main rival, Apples iPad has also seen some action in the mark down stakes. Electronics distributors, Dixon’s have lowered prices from around £529 to £469, for the 16GB 3G version, a price match by Amazon.

It will be interesting to see the final sales figures after the festive season has passed. With Samsung’s 16GB tablet available at a lower price than the Apple device, albeit only with wi-fi not 3G compatibility.

With Samsung hitting more sales than even they expected, Techwatch confirms that the company was hoping to sell a million units by the end of the year, but so far has smashed passed this figure with the first week of December.

Let us know if you have been holding out for a good deal on a tablet device, and do you think that this is the time to take the plunge?
