New Samsung Cameras For India: PL, ST And WB Series

Samsung has just released five new digital cameras in India, which are from the PL, ST and WB series. The five models are as follows: PL100, PL150, PL200, ST600 and WB600, and you can already see that these have been available other in other parts of the world for some time – the PL 150 being a fine example of this.

Three of the models come with a 1.5-inch LCD display on the front and a standard screen on the rear – so expect to pay a premium for these models. Not many of us will want this extra feature, but Nachiket Mhatre from Tech Tree said that it is handy when shooting self-portraits.

All five models offer something different to the user, not only in functions but price as well. So you will need to get that balance right between what features you would like and how much you are willing to pay. Prices range from Rs. 9,490 to Rs. 19,990.

PC World India offers a closer look at all five new Samsung cameras, and adds that the South Korean electronics maker now has a total of 22 cameras on the Indian market – this is certainly taking advantage of an emerging market. Laldinfela Pachuau from the Indian version of the tech website said that Samsung hopes to be one of the top three “Digital Imaging brand by 2012.” I cannot see any reason why they would not be able to achieve this – can you?
