Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread Update Live: List of Features

Here at OSM, Debbie today reported on the possibility of the much anticipated Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread with new features being announced. We can now report from a LIVE update that these have come to light. For the mobile phone world, we had been lucky enough to see snippets of leaked footage, that the Gingerbread was already running on Samsung’s Nexus S and will be on the PlayStation Phone. For those of you who are looking forward to Google’s Nexus S, will not have to wait much longer as this will be the first to ship out with the new Android 2.3.

What we can tell you from the update sourced from Engadget, is that the latest version will not only give new features but also API’s enabling developers to create those all important apps. Added to this one of the advantages to the new Gingerbread is the development of gaming. Running alongside this, will be the benefit of VoIP support, one touch copy and paste options, video calling support with the use of a front camera, gyroscope support, NFC integration and so on.

Also key to this update will be as “The H Open” reported, the SDK Tools, NDK and ADT-Plug in for Eclipse will also be enlisted.

I have to say judging by today’s news we certainly have a lot to look forward to, with the enjoyment of copying and pasting, having the advantage of video calling our friends and loved ones via a front camera, VoIP support and so on.
