Verizon 4G Review: Like a Home Connection

One of the hot topics currently being talked about is that of Verizon 4G. With so many of us today, using our phones to access the internet, send texts, email and at times link our computers to the internet, 4G is hoped to now make this easier. In today’s news we wanted to talk to you about this in relation to the LC VL600, one of the two Verizon 4G modems available. To help us in our quest to find out more, we enlisted some details from Ubergizmo.

Using a MacBook Pro 15” running on Windows 7 with Bootcamp, and from different synthetic tests carried out, Ubergizmo found the LC VL600 appears to incorporate a fast download speed. This includes that of streaming 1080p videos and movie trailers, topping that of 4G on networks such as Sprint. The faster speed can be compared to that of a normal home landline connection.

On carrying out these tests, Ubergizmo were aware that the results could change in relation to where they were located but it is fair to say, that even though Verizon’s 4G LTE has only just been launched, it’s packing a pretty full capacity.

What are your thoughts on Verizon 4G? Can you see this benefiting you? Let us know. To find out more plus speed statistical information in the form of bar charts, head on over to Ubergizmo.
