For those of you who don’t know LinkedIn, it’s a social networking site which is primarily business-orientated and the news today is that LinkedIn has scored a real hit by taking on Daniel Tunkelang, the Google Scientist and Tech Lead, who has jumped ship to develop data initiatives for LinkedIn. Tunkelang will now be working on the professional networking site on the data scientist team, according to Leena Rao over on TechCrunch.

LinkedIn are currently making a big push to advance forward and taking on such top talent as Tunkelang is a hugely positive move for the company.
