iPad Vs Galaxy Tab Consumer Poll: Worst Yet

So here we have the iPad which so far has dominated the rejuvenated tablet pc market since its release facing off against the Samsung Galaxy Tab, the underdog that has sold more units than it expected on the growing in popularity Android OS. It’s Apple Vs Samsung, iPad Vs Galaxy Tab, iOS Vs Android and when a customer poll was done they only looked at 65 people… pathetic, how can you draw a conclusion from 65 people?

I like both devices for different reasons, I like the iPad because of its large display that is very quick to respond to touch and the range of apps is second to none. Then again I like the quirkiness of the Android system and the size of the Galaxy Tab as it is still small enough to be deemed as “handheld”.

So who did this customer poll and why was this so poor? Well no further guesses needed it as Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray, let’s just say that he gets things wrong more often than not… check out Engadget.com’s tags for him here. I have to say, I love the way that Joshua slates him in the article. Of the criteria that customers were asked the consumer preference was one of the things that I didn’t think looked right. So the iPad 3G had 85% of the vote and the Galaxy Tab only had 15%, I find that difficult to believe.

If you want to know more about the methodology used then head over the Engadget.com’s article by Joshua Topolsky. What do you think of the study that was conducted? Let us know in the comments below.

I agree that a mare 65 people cann’t decide the suitability of one tablet pc ober other and further both has their advantages. Although I like Android in samsung tablet pc, however an iPad is best known for it’s smartness.
