We do enjoy a good infographic here at OSM and only recently have posted about one on the top Yahoo searches for 2010, and also another on the evolution of e-mail. Now a new infographic, this time about Hootsuite, the social media dashboard, has come to our attention.
A hugely important milestone has recently been reached by Hootsuite, that of its one millionth registered user, according to Stan Schroeder over on Mashable. A really notable thing about this statistic is that Hootsuite has only been going for 2 years and in the 14 months gained 250,000 users while in the last 10 months that figure has increased to the million mark. Now that’s some growth spurt!
The majority of the one million messages sent every day on Hootsuite are on Twitter and Hootsuite has not sat back on its laurels, instead recent developments have included adding HTML5 support, releasing apps for iPhone, BlackBerry and Android phones and a Freemium business model. The infographic over on Mashable also shows statistics such as sent messages by social network, sent messages by source, the top 10 Hootsuite countries and more.
For more on this and a look at the infographic head to mashable.com. Are you a Hootsuite user and if so tell us what you like about it? We’d be interested to receive your comments.
