iPad’s Top Christmas Apps

With Christmas just around the corner and many of us running around like headless chickens to get presents, order the meat and send those cards to loved ones, we have some news today about Apple’s popular iPad tablet and some Christmas apps to get you in the family mood!

Sales of the iPad have been soaring high and with the run up to the holiday season, it is bound to accelerate even further. The iPad is not only just seen as the latest must-have device, but for some families it has become their one and only computer type gadget in the household. On release of the tablet, users have been able to embrace it’s many different options including that of apps. Whether you, yourself use it for sourcing cookery recipes, looking for a new car or just sourcing vacation hotspots for after Christmas, Apple’s stiff competitor has definitely got the thumbs up from many of it’s users. Over at Wired, they have come up with some pretty good Christmas app suggestions that will involve all of the family getting together.

We wanted to share some of these with you starting with the Scrabble app. Making it’s way from the board game, users will benefit from it’s iPhone/iPad bluetooth interaction. Or check out strategy game Catan. For up to four players, you will battle it out to take charge of settlements and roads and to become the largest army. For the younger generation in your family, take a look at Chimes, a free music interaction game including sound and color.

What do you make of these apps? Have you got your own suggestions for some of our other viewers? Let us know. To find out more on these head on over to Wired.
