Facebook Live Event On Cyber Monday: George W. Bush

We’ve seen some novel new ways of marketing and promotion lately with news of a Coca-Cola promotion in conjunction with SCVNGR and Jay-Z promoting his book “Decoded” with a Bing campaign. Now it’s George W. Bush who has a book to promote and he’s making the usual rounds of promotional visits.

However one of his stops tomorrow is a little bit different as he’ll be making a visit to Facebook’s headquarters in Palo Alto and there will be a ‘Facebook Live’ event beginning at 5pm ET, that’s 2pm PT. The former president’s memoir is called “Decision Points” and Facebook users at the Live event will have the chance to ask questions, according to Adam Ostrow over on Mashable.

It’s not been made clear yet how the live question and answer session will be moderated but Mr. Bush is no stranger to Facebook having set up his own page in June which already has more than 600,000 fans. It’s quite a coup for Facebook to as Mr. Bush will be the first President or former President to appear on a Facebook Live event.
