Verizon iPhone 4 / 5: New Pragmatism Within Apple

We recently discussed about the iPhone 5 possible going to China, well it would be stupid for the handset not to go to such a huge market. We also touched on the subject that the Verizon iPhone would offer LTE technology, and how much truth there is in such a rumor.

A recent report on MSNBC regarding the growth of the iPhone in China has touched on another aspect, saying how they were surprised that Apple is now considering having two sides to their business in the U.S. when it comes to the iPhone. We are almost certain that Verizon is to get Apple’s smartphone; we just have no clue if it will be the iPhone 4 or 5?

The article says that it is obvious that having two models could be confusing, but it “illustrates a new pragmatism within the company.” We cannot agree more, Apple cannot afford to be stubborn any more regarding opening up the iPhone to another carrier in the U.S., and we know that it should be Big Red.

While Apple concentrates on the U.S. market they should not lose site of China, this is a market that could be of most importance to the continued growth of the iPhone.

I personally think that Apple will not announce a Verizon iPhone in January, I believe that there will be one, but it will be when they launch the iPhone 5 in the summer; what do you think?

If they wait until summer, Verizon may lose subscribers despite the lousy service provided by AT&T. Verizon customers are just fed up and want the iPhone now!! Verizon made a bad decision almost 5 years ago when it chose not to contract with Apple. We want the iPhone!!!
