AT&T Windows Phone 7: Buy One Get One Free?

With the subsequent release of Windows Phone 7 back in October, came the news of new handsets along with carriers. This included LG, HTC, Samsung and Dell along with carriers such as AT&T, T-Mobile and of course Verizon. But today news has come through that on Black Friday November 26, Microsoft and AT&T revealed to it’s customers, that on the purchase of a Windows Phone 7 phone, they would get a second free.

From what Jolie O’Dell at Mashable has reported, the phones will include that of the HTC Surround, Samsung Focus and LG Quantum for a neat $199.

With Black Friday sales as well as Cyber Monday at the forefront of our minds, is this news from the tech giants just coincidence, or could it be due to another reason, perhaps the Windows Phone 7 devices are not selling as much as first hoped?

What are your thoughts on this? Let us know below. To find out more head on over to Mashable.

Nobody is buying these Windows Phone 7 handsets, so the only way to clear them out is to hold a fire sale.

People want the more popular Android phones and iPhones.

Well, by your logic, both Android and Blackberry are on their way out because there are deep discounts those phones also. So I guess the only real phone that has any chance of surviving is the iPhone because the new models are never discounted.
