iPad Offered At £199 On Two-Year Deal With Orange

With the Christmas season just weeks away now and thoughts of what presents you will be getting your loved ones, now is the time to stop and take a look at what network “Orange” are offering. We are talking about Apple’s 3G iPad.

Packed full of fantastic features enabling you to view books, music, movies as well as playing games on it’s multitouch screen, the 3G tablet device will be retailed in the UK for a mere £199 ($312) for a 16GB model, rising up to £249 ($391) for the 32GB and at the top end of the scale £349 ($626) for the mighty 64GB. Prices are set with a two-year contract plan costing you, the customer, £27 ($42) a month. Pre-orders are being taken from today.

For this small amount every month, you will gain 1GB of data used at anytime, 1GB of data off-peak time and as Vlad at Engadget pointed out, 3GB of BT Openzone WiFi access for each twelfth of the year. Recently Orange has been in the news with various offers alongside it’s neighbours T-Mobile, and indications are showing that both their pricing structures will be similar in offerings. So what do we make of today’s news? Will we see the price of the iPad dropping now due to Apple’s iPad 2 making it’s way to us early part of next year?

Let us know if you will be tempted by Orange deals, and if not, who else would you consider shopping with? To find out more head on over to Engadget.
