iPhone’s “Pocket God” Game On Its Way To Facebook

Earlier this year, saw the release of the single player “Pocket-God” game for Apple devices such as the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. Today’s news from Ben over at Mashable has indicated that the popular game has now launched itself onto networking site Facebook with some new features.

For anyone that has never played the game, it basically relies on you, the player, having universal powers over islanders called “Pygmies.” You have absolute control over your fellow people and what happens on the island, be it, weather conditions, food, fire and shelter and entertaining them. On devices with accelerometers such as the iPhone and iPod Touch, this enables you to feel almost life like conditions such as earthquakes and the feeling of gravity.

With the collaboration of Frima Studio, it has been made possible to put the mobile game onto Facebook. Groups of friends on the site can now expect to torment the Pygmies, whilst finding out current progress and winnings via Facebook. Reports indicate that Pocket God closes for beta testing on 30 November.

Have you ever played Pocket God? If so, what are your thoughts with it shifting onto Facebook? Let us know. To find out more log onto Mashable.
