Facebook Upsets Breast Cancer Sufferers: Guidelines Blamed

Most of us have been touched by cancer somewhere in our lives and in fact my aunt is currently fighting against breast cancer, but I wouldn’t expect her to post the pictures of it on Facebook. A lady called Anna Antell has had her pictures removed and this seems to have caused a bit of a stir, so lets have a closer look at what is going on.

43 year old Anna has gone through extensive surgery and recovery methods used to treat breast cancer and then she had some pictures taken in black and white for an exhibition aimed at showing survivors are still beautiful.

Anna once these pictures had been taken shared them on her Facebook with her friends however Facebook has removed them as they “contained nudity” now this is one of those things where I don’t see how Facebook can be expected to bend the rules. Just to clarify this… the images were removed they categorized it as nudity rather than the nature of the picture. Apparently Facebook will be reviewing the policy but to be honest I cannot see a way around it. To read more about this intriguing story head on over to dailymail.co.uk.

Do you think Facebook should re-instate the images and then review its policies? Let me know what you think in the comments below.
