Droid 2 Global: Facebook Plug, Nothing Else

Verizon has given their smartphone the Droid 2 Global a mention on the social network Facebook. On their Facebook page, Verizon Wireless posted details such as pricing and features on the recently released Droid.

Initially Verizon did not give an announcement or use an advertising campaign for the phone and was relying on word of mouth to generate attention and sales. However just to speed up the process a quick Facebook plug seemed appropriate. The $199.99 price tag was given showing a $100 rebate saving, as well as that you get texts, calls, email and browsing in over 220 different countries. The network provider also made sure they mentioned that their 1.2GHz beauty needed a new 2 year activation and data pack. Verizon’s status update was lengthy so it is unlikely it will be retweeted but fans can still “like” the plug all day long. Have you got your hands on the Droid 2 Global yet?
