Tweeters Voice Disappointment At X-Factor’s “Olly Murs” Performance

After tonight’s X-Factor show, Twitter became alive with fans tweeting of their disappointment over Olly Murs stage performance. The Essex born singer, 26, who found himself in second place in the sixth series of 2009 X-Factor, has been criticized over his performance including choice of song.

In the summer of this year, Murs solo career kicked off when his first single “Please do not let me go” was released and went straight to number one in the UK singles charts. Following on from tonight’s show that saw Paije Richardson voted off, things are certainly hotting up on and off the screen. Metro reported that tweets have been coming in thick and fast with one person saying, “Olly Murs is a bit of a comedown after Take That.” Another said, “This Olly Murs single is flipping awful, and should have been released in Summer.”

In relation to Murs song choice, Twitter fans have been airing their own opinions on this by commenting that the reggae tune was not for him. It doesn’t suit his style. One fan said, “Olly Murs is what reggae would have sounded like had Bob Marley been born in Swindon.”
