iPad 2: Analyst Gives Release Update – Rumor

Previously we have spoken to your about different aspects of the imminent release of the new iPad 2. We spoke to you about the different suppliers beginning to hold the parts and then we also brought to you a little about how the iPad 2 will also include GSM-CDMA chips. Well these are all looking pretty likely with exception to the release date.

We heard rumors that the release date would be February 2011 however Gregg Keizer over at Computerworld.com now believes it will be a little later, he thinks it will be April. So what features would you expect from Apple’s new iPad. Is there anything in particular that they have left out that they should have included and improved upon with this release?

GSM-CDMA will be an important addition as it means that the Apple device would have the capability to run on the Verizon network, which as we all know is massive news. We already also spoke to you a little about a front facing camera, this would be a useful addition and with the iPhone’s addition of Facetime, this same technology could be moved across to the new device. Jonny Evans has written an article that shows what he thinks the new iPad should have that you can read here.

What do you think, is there anything that you feel should be added? Let us know in the comments below.
