Nokia Announce Power Issues On N8

Whilst most of you out there are now enjoying the benefits of the new Nokia N8 smartphone with it’s fantastic features such as running on Symbian^3 OS, 3.5-inch AMOLED display, 16GB memory, 12 megapixel camera and new ovi apps, there is a small percentage of you who have had problems with power issues.

According to Stan Schroeder at Mashable, reports have indicated that since it’s launch, apart from this recent news, Nokia’s latest offering has been swiftly moving along without a glitch. The problem seems to have been occurring with a power fault leaving the handset to turn itself off. Cell phone giants Nokia have been looking into the fault which may have been present in the first production batch of phones.

Executive Vice President “Niklas Savander” has been keen to assure customers by saying, “Through our customer care we have heard that a limited number of Nokia N8 customers are experiencing a power down or not power up of the device. When asked how many users are affected he said, “It’s a small number, but added to that consumers that are affected, it’s a significant issue.” He went on to say that on looking into the fault, Nokia has now found and fixed the root of the problem.

If you have been experiencing this problem then rest assured as your handset will be covered by Nokia’s standard warranty.
