Black Friday 2010: Samsung Galaxy Tablet Prices Drop

As we move within touching distance of November 26 Black Friday, those of you that have been tempted by the increase in Tablet devices recently, will not be able to resist the deals that will be available once the big day comes.

PC World report Verizon and Sprint have released statements announcing $50 discounts on Samsung’s Galaxy Tablet. We had heard rumours of the price reduction through leaked Black Friday circulars, but company statements now confirm this.

With Apple’s iPad setting the trend, the Galaxy Tab is said to be the first genuine competitor to Apple’s device. Offering a 7-inch display and 1024-by-600 pixel resolution, the Samsung device carries a 1GHz processor and 2GB memory, expandable to 34GB with a 32GB SD card. Running Android OS 2.2 the device also offers front and rear cameras in 1.3 megapixel and 3.2 megapixel respectively.

Although to some $50 may not seem like a lot, when you consider that $100 has been knocked off the iPad’s $399 through TJ Maxx, it’s not a bad amount. But, when you can pick up the Sprint version Galaxy Tab for $349 from the likes of RadioShack, you are already making a big saving. It’s not just RadioShack where Samsung’s device is reduced if you head over to PC World you will get the full report on who’s offering the best deals.

So is Black Friday the time you treat yourself to possibly one of the best Tablets currently on the market? Let us know if you will be taking the plunge with your credit card this Black Friday? To find out more log onto PC World.
