Apple iPad 2: Second-Generation Parts and Release Update

The Apple iPad 2, something that is being talked about more and more. Some people don’t believe it will come, others like me are optimistic, and when I hear news that there are already suppliers for the parts getting in place it makes me kind of excited.

There is an expected release of the iPad 2 towards the end of the 1st quarter, so we would be looking at around February 2011 to get hold of one, but what would you expect from a new Apple iPad? I think that is a little soon seeing as the current iPad is yet to receive the iOS 4.2 update but anything is possible.

Apparently there was another model of iPad made that Apple had planned to release at the same time, with a smaller screen (around 7”) but Steve Jobs who doesn’t believe the screen size does justice to the software being used on it decided to only release the current iPad. How true these rumours are I doubt we will ever know.

So head on over to AppleInsider to learn more about the suppliers that are apparently readying themselves for the next generation of iPad.

Do you think the new Apple iPad 2 will be available in February 2011? Let us know your thoughts on this in the comments below.

I think it simply has to come early next year. With the Galaxy Tab doing better than perhaps was expected Apple might do well to release a smaller version, and they simply have to sort out FaceTime for iPad.
