LA Auto Show 2010: Social Media Launches Cars

It seems that social media is being brought into launching of cars and everything else more and more, previously we brought you an article on how the new Cross Cabriolet Murano was launched on Facebook but it seems that their competitors are catching on.

The likes of Porsche, Audi, Ford, VW, Toyota and Chevrolet are moving towards the likes of Facebook and Twitter to raise awareness of the LA Auto Show for 2010, this has become so big that nearly all of anticipated releases which include the Chevy Camaro has been shown on the likes of their Facebook page. Now that’s a car!

According to the LA Times VW even posted pictures of their new model on Facebook the night before it was available, I can see no better way for the automobile industry to raise awareness of any new models or car shows as what does social networking do? It gets people talking.
