The ever popular Twitter has is not only on the web but also on a lot of our mobile devices as well. There is a recent update for the iPhone app which will update to V3.2. This update has some new additional functionality which we are hoping you will take advantage of. To download the update, either search for updates on your iPhone (if you already have the original Twitter app) or go directly to the app store to get it.
One of the updates has been in the pipeline for some time, this is around the ‘Push Notification’ this now has official support as there have been various work arounds. With the push notification being updated it will allow you to either have your Tweets pop up on your iPhone or, if you don’t want them to, you can set it not to. If you would like a more detailed view of how to turn this off and on then head over to Mashable who have provided you with a step by step guide on how to do this.
This does mean though that all Tweets will be directed to your phone, I think what the mobile Twitter world is crying out for is a better way of doing this, perhaps involving specific words and then forward it through to your mobile.
What do you think? Have you been using the new update to the Twitter app? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
