New Twitter User Interface: Improve Your Marketing

Online social networking site Twitter, has improved it’s User Interface therefore if you are hoping to look at your marketing methods, then this may well benefit you. Mari Smith at Social Media Examiner TV has looked into this and how the new features can be used in the appropriate fashion.

When accessing your Twitter page you will automatically see that in appearance it is wider and a panel on the left hand side appears. When you click on to a tweet or a name it will now bring up additional information including media links that are incorporated in the tweet, maps and videos. Social bookmarking is made easier with HootSuite’s Hootlet and the new UI for Twitter users. In a world where the percentage of people own a mobile phone, apps play an important role in keeping you up-to-date with your friends and acquaintances, apps mentioned include, Twitterrific, Twittelator and TwitBird.

As with all new concepts there are good and bad points. Mari Smith has commented on the “Retweet” button and that if a user wants to add a comment, then they will not be able to. Coupled with this, is the fact that if you want to answer a group of people at the same time, you will not be able to reply.
