Zynga Enjoying 320 Million Users & 650,000 Same-Sex Marriages

Zynga, American social gaming platform has developed stand alone brower based games or app widgets on networking sites such as Facebook and MySpace. Today it seems that despite previous criticism surrounding issues such as their game “FarmVille” they have a lot to be proud of, following on from an announcement that their user numbers have increased and they are solely responsible for some 650,000 same-sex marriages.

According to Jennifer Van Grove at Mashable, CEO for Zynga “Mark Pincus” has just announced at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco, that they are now enjoying some three million users playing their interactive games at the busiest times during the day. Along with the gaming platform being worth in excess of $4 billion, a jaw dropping 320 million people have played a Zynga game.

Moving on, you must be wondering the same as me, about the 650,000 same-sex marriages? Indications show that the popular game “FrontierVille” has contributed to this number. The CEO is keen to share with his fans that at least ten games are being produced in 13 studios in six different countries, and the company has been involved with six acquisitions in recent months. Judging by today’s news with such high user figures, it’s no surprise that Zynga are keen to celebrate, their hard work is obviously paying off.
