Motorola “Motopad” To Enjoy New Android 3.0 Honeycomb OS

Rumours have been circulating that Motorola’s latest tablet will run Google’s Android 3.0 OS, this will make it the first on the market with this kind of operating system.

Pocket-lint has recognised a source that tweeted Google’s choice on which device would get Honeycomb first, the report said, “Google chose MOTOPAD as a first device to show Android 3.0 – 7 inch version,” this was according to @mobireview.

If these rumours are correct it throws new light on what we initially thought. Firstly it was said that Motorola would carry a 10-inch tablet, whereas this now suggests that it will likely be a 7-incher. Obviously it is now the case that the tablet will be packing the new OS. And finally it looks like the name will be Motopad rather than the reported Stingray title that we expected.

These new findings are still speculation and have yet to be confirmed, but the source for Pocket-lint has provided correct information on a number of occasions, so the chances are that these latest rumours could very well turn to fact. Lets just wait and see what information will present itself in the next coming weeks, give us your thoughts and stay tuned.
