SMART Exchange Website For Education

News has come through today that “SMART Exchange Website,” the site which provides some 40,000 classroom-based resources that can be previewed and downloaded, will now, with the help of USA Today Education, be supplying current events data for the academic school year 2010-2011. SMART Exchange Website also helps teachers talk to others to learn about new fresh ideas, activities and stories within the classroom.

Damego reported that data will range from politics, world geography and culture, economics, science, environment, emerging technologies, engineering, health and weather. The new information will be based around classroom lessons and current events taking place. The aim is to help students with their work and improve literacy skills.

Vice President of USA Today Education “Diane Barrett” has responded by saying, “We are excited to collaborate with SMART on this new initiative, combining real-world information, unique and interactive features and progressive curriculum developed by USA TODAY Education with the innovative technology of SMART. This joint initiative will provide teachers with an unparalleled new resource to educate our nation’s students and prepare them for the 21st century.”

Nancy Knowlton, CEO for SMART has said, “Teachers are continually searching for timely educational content that will enhance their student’s understanding of current events. This collaboration with USA TODAY Education will enable teachers and students throughout the United States and around the world to access high-quality learning resources that are relevant and engaging.”
