Xbox Kinect UK: Shortage Prove Hard To Get Your Hands On One

Microsoft’s Xbox Kinect which has already seen record amounts sold in America, is due to be hitting UK shelves in just a few days. But with the forthcoming Xbox “controller-free” accessory to be snapped up by avid gamers, there may not be enough to go around?

Here at OSM, we recently reported on sales expectations in the U.S. reaching sky heights selling some 5 million units compared to just three million that was initially expected. So what can we make of this recent news? Has Britain prepared itself for the onslaught? Gary Johnson at PR News has recently looked into where you may be able to get the device on launch day. According to research from Xboxhome, the news is not good. They looked at Asda, Amazon, Tesco, ShopTo, HMV, Play and Zavvi. Limited stock could be found in Game and Gamestation but unfortunately this was it!

With the holiday season just weeks away, the only alternative you may have to getting a Kinect in time is to perhaps order not one, two but three to sell on eBay. To get that all important present for Christmas, people are willing to pay extortionate amounts of money.

Have you pre-ordered your Kinect in time for launch? Let us know. To find out more head on over to PR News.
