Verizon Offer Customers Unlimited Text & Data Plan For $70

Verizon Wireless, one of the largest wireless mobile telecommunication networks in the U.S. will now be offering it’s customers a new text and data plan for their device.

News has been announced that Verizon are trying out a new one off promotion enabling a limited number of customers unlimited text and data for just $70 per month. So how will this fair against it’s competitors such as AT&T and Sprint? Ben Parr at Mashable has reported on the new plan benefiting his subscribers with 450 minutes per month and unlimited Verizon mobile to mobile, texting and data. To get this special deal, users will have to access the promotional e-mail to get a telephone number to call to have any hope of getting the plan.

It is not available through the big red’s website. Those who are lucky enough to receive the e-mail will stand a chance of getting the deal. Visiting Verizon’s website to buy the same plan will set you back $90 ($40 minutes plus $20 text plus $30 data).

If this isn’t enough to tempt you, then Verizon are giving a discounted Family SharePlan for $140. This will give you 1,400 minutes and unlimited data, text and Verizon mobile to mobile, to add another line will set you back a small fee of $20 per month.

So how will this latest deal affect it’s counterparts AT&T and Sprint especially with the subsequent arrival of Verizon iPhone 4? Should AT&T be slightly worried about their customers changing over?
