Twitter’s Android App Brings New Update And Features

For anyone in possession of an Android handset will be pleased to learn of a new update to the existing Twitter app. The update is hoped to allow it’s users an easier and speedier service when logging on and tweeting to the official site.

According to Brenda Ehrlich at Mashable, the updated Android app in-office was tested out by her and seems to be ticking all the boxes. She reported on new features that will give the service a smoother experience. Features such as the “tweet details page.” Incorporating a new layout now, it will be easier for users to click onto links, retweet or favorite a tweet. Brenda also commented on the new faster app speed and what this will mean when using the “refresh” button. To enable you to find out the latest 140-character news, you can just pull down at the top of your tweet stream.

One of the biggest benefits from the update that was reported, is the option to find out more about another user. By using your finger to sweep across a person’s tweet will now give you extra, easy-to-read information about that person for example, who they follow and who follows them. Lastly, the newest addition is that of being able to “quote a tweet.” This basically allows you to copy and paste a tweet on the in-browser site.
