Viewsonic Announce New “7 + 10” ViewPad Tablets

Here at OSM, we have recently reported on some new devices that American company Viewsonic have developed. But now as well as the new 3D pocket sized camcorder and 22-inch Multi-Touch Monitor, they have now announced new 7 and 10 inch tablets aptly named “ViewPad.”

Indications show that the new ViewPad 7 will be available to purchase sometime this month. Features will include Android 2.2, Snapdragon processor, a camera on the front and rear, 512MB of memory and 3G capabilities. According to Joanna Stern at Engadget, the American company are adamant that the new tablet device will incorporate access to the Google Market and come complete with preloaded Google apps. Dependant on what your budget allows you, this offering from Viewsonic will set you back approximately $479.

For those of you wanting to pack a few more inches, you might want to consider the ViewPad 10. Unfortunately this will not be available until the first part of next year. Features are looking to include a 1.66GHz Atom processor, 16GB SSD, 1GB RAM and windows 7 Home Premium for a price of $629.
