Samsung Galaxy Tablet Released In UK

For those of you out there who are thinking of getting a tablet device but are trying to steer away from purchasing an Apple iPad, then the Samsung Galaxy Tab may well tick all the boxes. Great news has come through today of the device being available in the UK.

According to Thomas Ricker at Engadget, the Android 2.2 device which in comparison to its counterparts is smaller in size, can now be seen in retail electronics stores such as Carphone Warehouse, Dixons and T-Mobile. The latest is that carriers such as Orange and 02 have joined in with T-Mobile and Three in offering the Galaxy tablet on various price plans. If you are undecided as to how to take up your new tablet be it on a pay monthly plan or standalone one off price, then there are both options available to you.

As an example, from £10 a month through Talk Mobile you will be able to grab the new Galaxy for £499.99 including 1GB of storage. At the other end of the scale, with a two-year contract and a £99.99 pay out you can up the data level to 5GB for £40 per month with Three. Of course there is the option of a one off price of £529.99.

With Apple setting the standard with it’s iPad, can the introduction of other tablets like Samsung’s Galaxy shake the market up? Perhaps we need to carry out a survey, how many of you would be tempted with an alternative to the Apple iPad?
