White iPhone 4 Further Delays Expected Until Spring 2011

We reported only yesterday, of Apple releasing it’s new Apple store app which was showing the White iPhone 4 model 16GB and 32GB versions. Although the phone could be viewed ordering was not an option. Since the end of June, beginning of July we have been waiting very patiently for the device to be released. As the months go by, new handsets are being offered to potential customers that could be buying the white iPhone. Delays were expected through to Christmas but it looks like we will be waiting until next year now.

Katie at AppleInsider reported that today news came through from Apple that we could be waiting until at least Spring 2011. The tech giants have commented on this by apologising to their customers and saying, “We’re sorry to disappoint customers waiting for the white iPhone yet again, but we’ve decided to delay its release until this Spring.” So, what are we supposed to think about the current situation? News came in approximately 2 weeks ago that the device was experiencing manufacturing problems with the white color match between the home button and faceplate.

Confusing to some of us, as there has been reports of the white version being seen in the hands of actor Stephen Fry at a recent Windows Phone 7 launch, and on another occasion being carried by an innocent gentleman in NYC. When asked where he purchased his phone he replied, “From a friend that works for Apple.” The man also went on to say that there were plenty of white iPhones at Apple waiting for distribution.
