Galaxy Tab At Best Buy: Verizon and Sprint Price Details

For those of you waiting on news of the Samsung Galaxy Tab including pricing, will now want to listen up as it has been seen in a Best Buy promotion. At this stage we know that Best Buy will be selling the Black 3G model incorporating Verizon and the Silver 3G from Sprint, either consisting of a contract plan or the opportunity to have on a month to month basis. Indications show that the Wi-Fi only version will be available in silver for $499.99.

Thomas Ricker at Engadget reported that although details are a little sketchy at present, it does seem that Verizon are looking to release the Galaxy Tab before Christmas approximately on November 11. Pricing will be a little high compared to that of the iPad, the Galaxy Tab being priced at $599.99 and it looks like there will be no contract offered although customers can opt to pay $20 a month for a 1GB plan. On the other hand, Sprint will be offering the tablet device for $399.99 with a two year contract from November 14. Data plans for this consist of two, either a 2GB version with unlimited messaging for $29.99 per month or the 5GB with the same offering of messaging for a slightly higher cost of $59.99.

What we can be sure of is its fantastic features including a 7-inch Super AMOLED display, 1GHz processor, 32GB microSD slot, Android 2.2 with a possible upgrade to 3.0 Gingerbread by the end of the year, rear and front facing cameras, 256MB of RAM and much more.
