Samsung Galaxy Tab Pre-order: Tesco Undercuts Competition

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is due very soon for retailers to get their hands on and get selling. Amongst these are Tesco who are reportedly under cutting Carphone Warehouse by a whole 99p!

According to Pocket-lint, Tesco have set up a pre-ordering page and are retailing the 16GB model for £529 and we are yet to hear if there is a planned 32GB model. All in all this looks like a great little device, here are some of the features. Android OS, 7” Touch Screen, Voice and Video calling, Internet, Social Networking, E-Mails, Google Maps Navigations, Games Movies and Music, Electronic Reading and a Camera with LED Flash.

Personally I think this looks like a fantastic bit of kit and with 2.3 Gingerbread on its way and 3.0 Honeycomb just around the corner, I feel that this is a product that can actually offer an alternative to extremely popular iPad. It has comparable features along with some extras.

I would like to point you over to Rik Henderson’s First Look Review to gain an understanding of the capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy Tab.

Do you think that the Samsung Galaxy Tab can compete with the iPad? Is there anything that you feel Samsung have missed that would have been a vast improvement over the iPad? Let us know in the comments below
