Social Networking Startups Fund to Accelerate Social Entrepreneurs

The growth of social networking is increasing at an alarming rate, and there are so many startups out there that believe that they have the next big thing. Some of the biggest companies on the Internet know this and in a joint effort will make $250 million available to the next Facebook.

Four of the biggest partners in this new venture are Amazon, Comcast, Facebook and Zynga – now that is a dream team. Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers will be leading the “S Fund”, as they already have some expirence in this field.

There are so many social startups trying to make it, but the Internet is a big place and trying to stand out is a daunting task. There is no denying that there are talented people out there – I am certain that you could be sitting near the next Mark Zuckerberg, you just don’t know it yet.

Benny Evangelista from SFGate has been picking up on a few points that one of the partners of the backers said; such as “investors want to find and fund and accelerate the success of these new kinds of social entrepreneurs.” Another quote from the recent Facebook hosted conference was “Social is going to be a breeding ground for great CEOs.”
