Finally, good news has come through today of the release of the new Nokia N8 smartphone in the UK. Since its arrival, you have been waiting for a few weeks now to get your hands on the device and try out the fantastic features. But for those of you within the UK, as of today, you will be able to see it up close and personal.

As well as high street retail stores, the Nokia N8 will be available direct from Nokia online. If you are looking to purchase it within store, it will set you back £429 sim-free. As we are getting closer now to the holiday season, you may be watching the pennies and choose to opt for a contract instead. Darren at TechWatch reported that, if this is the case, 3 network will be offering a free handset on a two year £35 per month with some 2000 minutes and 1GB of internet connectivity. T-Mobile on the otherhand, are also matching 3’s offering but 900 minutes and unlimited data.

There are plenty of smartphones to choose from at this current time and its a job to know which one to purchase. We have recently reported on Windows Phone 7 devices making their way to us such as Samsung, LG and HTC and as well as these, there is the current iPhone 4. After digesting this news, take the time to look at what the Nokia N8 will offer you. It will run on Symbian^3 OS, 3.5 inch AMOLED display, 16GB memory, 12mp camera and new Ovi apps giving accessibility to social networking sites.
