LG: Showcase Largest 72 Inch 3D TV

As we all know 3D is the big thing at the moment, with 3D movies exploding from our local cinemas. Now of course we can experience the latest technology from the comfort of our own homes, with the introduction of 3D TV’s.

Well CrunchGear tells us that LG has just announced their new Infinia 72LEX9, and as the model number suggests this 3D TV will be packing 72 inches of LED quality viewing.

Available in Korea from today, the rest of us will have to wait to the second quarter of 2011. Features for the 72LEX9 will include: 480Hz TruMotion panel, full LED backlight, 10,000,000:1 contrast ration, wireless AV link, DLNA support, YouTube and Google Piscasa support. There will also be four HDMI outlets and one USB port, stereoscopic 3D glasses will be required though it is not mentioned whether they are supplied.

While this is no doubt a impressive size for a 3D LED TV, in fact it’s the biggest LED backlight available. But Mitsubishi can claim the record for producing the largest 3D compatible set with the Diamond WD-82838. This monster stretches out an almighty 82-inches of 1080p 3D imagery.
