Windows Phone 7: Samsung Omnia 7 and LG Optimus 7 leaked

With the Windows Phone 7 event being held today, we were also supposed to get some detail on the new smartphones from LG and Samsung; however some interesting specifications on the new models have been leaked and so we have some information earlier than expected.

The Samsung Omnia 7 was leaked onto Samsung’s Russian site according to Mashable and features a 5-megapixel camera capable of recording 720p video, 8 GB of internal storage, 4-inch Super AMOLED, 800×480 pixel screen and powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm QSD8250 CPU as well as having Wi-fi and Bluetooth 2.1.

As for the Optimus 7, which was leaked onto LG’s official UK blog, you have a very similar setup to Samsung’s model. Except the Optimus features 16 GB of memory instead of 8GB and a 3.8-inch screen rather than 4 inches.

More detail may be revealed at the WP7 event; however this juicy detail seems enough for now. Both handsets like the ones released today are expected to be out in shops on around the 21st October; although this date is prone to delay.

What are your thoughts on the leak of these new phones? Leave us your comments.

Win Phone 7: Very clean relationship between hardware and OS. Suave, in a word.
