Apple iPad To Be Released Through Wal-Mart

Following on from recent news, speculation has it that Apple’s iPad tablet may be released through Wal-Mart stores sometime next week, and by the end of November half of its retail stores will be offering the device. This will make it one of a group of retail outlets officially allowed to sell the tablet.

According to Samuel Axon at Mashable, an email was distributed to store managers at various Wal-Mart stores, announcing that they would receive five of each of the six iPad models, as well as accessories including a wireless keyboard, a dock and a case. Wal-Mart, one of the largest chain of discount department stores in America, will now be getting ready to stock the tablets by the end of this month, starting next week, in fact over 1,000 stores. If the rumor becomes a reality, then this is great news for Apple fans. But for whatever reason, you have to wait until the end of November, some 800 more stores will be stocking up.

Up until now, the iPad has been available to purchase from Apple itself, Best Buy and more recently Target and Amazon. With more outlets choosing to stock their shelves with Apple’s popular device, this can only increase Apple sales.
