You To Can Break The Sound Barrier For A Mere $3 Million

So you’re in the market for a new car, but what is it that you look for first? Is it the colour or maybe it’s the price? Well for some it’s how fast it goes, call it vain but there is a lot to be said for bragging rights down your local.

Well if you have a budget of $3,000,000 then you could be in the position to buy a car with the potential to quieten anything this side of Concorde. Devin at CrunchGear reported, that while the iconic supersonic passenger jet was capable of cracking the sound barrier twice over (cruising speed of 1350mph), to do it you had to be 60,000 ft in the air.

Once owned by Steve Fossett, a gentlemen that unfortunately lost his life in a plane accident, the vehicle was designed and built to achieve 900mph, that’s 130mph over the sound barrier. Due to Fossett’s untimely demise he never got the opportunity to attempt the record.

So there you have it, what is essentially a sonic jet plane without wings, capable of speeds to match pretty much anything on the planet. The only problem that I can see is that the luggage space may be limited, and there is no mention of a cup holder.
