Mark Zuckerberg: Admits to seeing “The Social Network”

The social network tries to tell the story of Mark Zuckerberg’s founding of Facebook and this has been a major topic for discussion recently. The CEO announced himself that he has no interest in seeing it, after his team of staff all went on a company outing to see it. Did you really think he would put off watching it?

Well it looks like Zuck has broken his word, as he has commented on the film to Jesse Eisenberg’s cousin who works for Facebook. The movie’s screenwriter Aaron Sorkin has revealed what Zuckerberg thought of the film as he received a text from Eisenberg’s cousin. According to Electric Pig the message read “Mark loved all the parts he agreed with…’”.

From Mark’s reaction it seems that a lot of Eisenberg’s acting is realistic to a certain point but some of his actions in the movie are fictitious. It is likely parts have been added in for dramatic effect and entertainment purposes. Most people would expect Zuckerberg to hate the movie so it’s quite surprising he enjoyed what parts he knows are accurate.

The Social Network movie has been one of the biggest talking points in the last week after it was released in the US last Friday. It has immediately stormed to the top of the box office and raked in millions so far and this amount will soar higher as the film is set for it’s UK release next Friday. Have you seen the movie yet? Leave us all of your comments on what you think of it.
