New York Comic Con 2010: Overview

We reported back in July, about one of the biggest conventions to take place in San Diego, America, “Comic Con 2010”. Attendees to the show were able to enjoy comic books, manga, movies, video games, announcements of up and coming games and award ceremonies.

But for those of you, who missed July’s event, news has been announced of the “New York Comic Con 2010” starting on Friday 8 October and ending on Sunday 10 October to be held at the “Jacob K. Javits Center” in Manhattan. According to Gamedaily, this version of the convention may only be a few years old but if last year’s figures of 77,000 people are anything to go by, then New York has certainly something to look forward to.

Gamedaily have reported that the event will include 38 Studios, Activision, Capcom, EA, Gazillion, Sega, Square Enix, THQ, Ubisoft and lots more. For gaming fans, Intel will be showcasing their PC games and US finals of the “Extreme Masters PC pro gaming tournament”. The competition is hotting up for a fantastic $60,000 in prize money playing games like Counter-Strike, Quake Live and StarCraft II. Also for the first time at this event, people will get to enjoy the “Cultyard” which will feature collectible toys, art and pop-tech.
