Black Ops 3D: The rumors are true

We have had plenty of coverage in the last week of Call Of Duty: Black Ops and 3D. The main focus has been on Zombies and the achievements leak and the unveiling of new glasses free 3D TVs from Toshiba and Sony. We had no idea that these 2 topics would be beautifully merged together.

It has been confirmed by Mark Lamia from Treyarch that Black Ops will come out in 3D, and it will be available to PS3, 360 and PC users; follow the link to watch the Youtube Confirmation. The amazing thing is that the single campaign, online multiplayer and zombie mode will all be featured in 3D. This is massive news as such a massive gaming experience is being taken a step further.

Black Ops has been anxiously awaited for absolutely months and this new announcement will be driving fans absolutely crazy with joy, anticipation and anger. There will also be anti-3D fans who do not like this idea but the game will of course also be playable in standard 2D. We have had reports from Peter Chubb over at Product-Reviews that 3D gaming is not that impressive, after he attended the Eurogamer Expo.

Unfortunately at this time the game will have to be played with the glasses as the new glasses free TVs are not ready yet. Personally I am going to hold off until the new models launch next year, so I will possibly be playing Modern Warfare 3 in 3D without getting a headache after playing online for hours each day.

What are your thoughts on the news that some of us will be playing Black Ops in 3D? We want to hear all of your opinions so please leave us a comment.
