Facebook Event 2010: What’s in store?

The popular social networking website Facebook has definitely been busy over the past couple of months. Back in August the site launched its new Places feature, then it held a gaming-focused event 2 weeks ago and most recently, it changed its photo feature to allow high-resolution uploads.

However, it looks like they are not finished yet as according to Jason Kincaid at techcrunch.com, Facebook will be holding a special event this coming Wednesday (October 6th). Although the site is not giving anything away about what’s in store, people have been taking guesses as to what the event will involve.

Some of the ideas that have been put forward include Facebook credits, an iPad app and even the Facebook Phone, which has rumored for quite some time. Another guess mentioned is the possible announcement of the Meebo Bar that Facebook has apparently been working on for ages.

Ever since the Apple iPad launched earlier this year, people have been waiting for an official Facebook app for the device. Could this be one of the things spoken about at tomorrow’s event? Another thing that could well be discussed is more key features for Facebook Places.
