Android Tablet for £85: Will you sacrifice features?

With the holiday season looming upon us and the thought of what to get your sons and daughters, maybe now is the time to start looking at the “tablet” market. Popularity of tablets is growing in numbers and with so many to choose from, you may want to consider the “Android Tablet”.

According to Pocket Lint, there are many tablets available for different budgets. Disgo and Next are currently offering a tablet at a price of £180. If you have got your heart set on purchasing an Android tablet but do not want to pay an extortionate amount, then the new 7-inch version from “Morgan Computers” at a fantastic £85 may fit the bill. Ok, so the Android version may only have 1.7.4 and 128MB of RAM to go with the ARM9 VIA8505+400MHz processor, but for £85 there’s not much room to argue!

If you are like me and just want to know the specifications in “layman’s terms”, then the tablet will come with 2GB of memory which can be expanded via SD or USB. It incorporates an 800 x 480 QVGA display, 3 hours battery life, Wi-Fi and 0.3 mega pixel webcam. So, for a mere £85, you would be silly to not consider one of these Android tablets. Head over to Morgan Computers to pre-order your device. Shipping begins on 18 October.

What are your thoughts on this? Would you sacrifice features of other Android based tablets to save money? Give us your comments. To check out more on this log onto Pocket Lint
