According to Stan Schroeder at Mashable, Nintendo’s newest edition was first unveiled at the E3 conference back in June and other than the 3D capabilities, which lets face it, is quite an important feature, is almost similar to its predecessor. Users will be pleased to learn, that although they will have to wait until February to get their hands on one of these, it is in fact a month earlier than anticipated. Nintendo had initially planned to launch the handheld console sometime in March.

President of Nintendo, “Satoru Iwata” has said, that the 3DS will first be released in Japan at approximately 25,000 yen ($300), and then the U.S. and Europe shortly after. Currently, Nintendo’s handheld gaming consoles share the market alongside Sony’s PSP.
