Apple TV Shipping Started: 2-week delay for UK

For those of you out there who are eagerly awaiting delivery of the new Apple TV, recent news has been announced today that you may have to wait a little longer to receive it. Daniel at PR News has confirmed that Apple are shipping the new TV out to UK customers, as from this morning, he received his own shipping notification saying, “We expect your order to be delivered to your shipping address on or before 08/10/2010”.

On September 1, Apple showcased its new TV at their media event. Customers were jumping up and down to pre-order it with the expectation that it would start to be shipped out towards the end of September, beginning of October. Some reports had indicated that Apple had started to take payments for the TV, therefore, customers believed that they would not have to wait too long.

Unfortunately, shortly after this, rumors were spreading that refunds were being distributed to customers with the possibility of a delay in shipping. So far, it looks like customers will in total wait a good 6 weeks before they can enjoy their new TV.

the Apple TV is so simplistic.Apple TV is not a real platform, neither own the application store, has not been applied. Therefore, even if the users can download movies from Netflix, they can not use Vimeo; can see the pictures on Flickr, but can not see on Facebook or SmugMug;can play HD mp4. videos , can not play any other kinds of videos so that i must rely on Aneesoft video converter. can get 99 cents of Fox and ABC shows video, but can not see Comedey Central, Hulu or Fancast program. In short, no Facebook, no Twitter, no sports scores, no weather, no stock figures, no news, and video games.
