Apple Mouse Through The Years

For the majority of us who hear the mere mention of the word “Apple”, we always relate the name to devices such as the iPhone, iPad, MacBook and iPod Touch, but we seem to forget about the “Mouse” and how it has developed through the years to the present day!

Mashable have done just this. They have looked right back from the 1980’s to today, to see how the mouse has changed, be it, in design to technology. It has evolved from users having to click the mouse with a single button to just touching it, losing its tail, to changes in color, from incorporating a multi-color to just being one single tone.

Early days indicate that the first mouse was developed for the “Lisa computer”. Looking at similar designs at the time from “Xerox”, coupled together with the financial implications, Apple decided to employ “Hovey-Kelley” to come up with a similar concept but for less money. Shortly afterwards, the “Lisa Mouse” was launched. Mashable have put together 8 photo clips with information from the past to present day. See if you can remember some of the devices?
