Are you a regular Bing user? If so you may be interested in Bing Rewards, the latest initiative from Microsoft, which was launched today. Users will be able to gain credits for such things as searching on Bing, checking out new features, or for making Bing their homepage.
However as Ben Parr over on Mashable notes, this just seems to be a successor to Bing Cashback which didn’t exactly set the world on fire and closed at the end of July. Bing Rewards is like a customer loyalty program, the more you use Bing, the more credit you’ll earn but are the rewards really worth it?
If you want to try it out then you have to download the “Bing Bar” to a Windows device then sign in using your Windows Live ID but we’re not sure that Microsoft are hitting the right note. After all using a search engine is not exactly the same as going on your weekly shop for groceries and we doubt that many people are going to be bothering about Bing points, unless of course Microsoft makes the rewards worthwhile.
